About the Magical Girl Help Desk
The mission of the Magical Girl Help Desk is to offer two kinds of services.
The first is to provide a place where Magical Girls can gather, relax, and for aspiring ones to receive help and mentorship. Being a Magical Girl can be hard and we don't want potential heroes to be distraught! The second service is to provide others with a means of requesting help from Magical Girls. We feel it's necessary for some to gain experience by taking on requests and fulfilling them.
So come in! Relax. Share your stories and tales of epic battles (we know you have them!). We all fight for what we believe in.
What is a Magical Girl?
As can be guessed, a Magical Girl is a girl, usually in her teens, who has an aptitude to some kind of magic. This usually involves transforming into their magical form before they can use their abilities. Though some magical girls may get away without doing so. Two common elements to Magical Girls, though they do not have to have either, is their trinket that lets them transform and a companion in the form of a talking animal-thing or fairy.
Most girls assume alter egos when they transform to keep their private identities a secret. Some, because their work involves extradimensional travel to do their work, feel no need to assume such. In the end though, their powers are never exposed to the general populace. Things might get dicey if people found out about that (or they wouldn't believe teenagers could do those things anyway).
However, some of us just throw that out the window and are simply magical to begin with!
Where is the Help Desk?
The Help Desk for those that come across it find themselves on what appears to be a floating island. Cloud cover what's below, we don't know what goes on down there, but a large barrier is erected around the island to prevent anything from getting up to anyone falling down (they'll just end up seemingly falling endlessly until a patrol comes around to yank them out)
The island does have a building! When you walk into the front doors, which are usually always open, to the left is a reception area where Magical Girls can register and get assistance and other visitors can submit requests. To the right is the lobby, a sort of lounge area. Dotted around are places to help the girls relax, workshops to hone skills, among other things.
Rules and such
While you're enjoying your stay at the Help Desk, we ask that you observe the following
- • Magical Girls from all walks of life are welcome! Canon or original characters are fine. Duplicates are okay too.
- • Have at least an attempt at a profile to know what your character is about.
- • If you lurk we may boot you from the room.
- • All genders are welcome too. Maybe there's a magical boy somewhere?
- • No smut in the room! You're free to take it up in PMs if you really are feeling that itch.
- • Blatantly sexual profiles will be allowed at the mod's discretion
- • Do not start any drama. The last thing we need is people at each others necks.
- • Do not harass anyone at the Help Desk. If you feel you are being harassed, PM one of the mods and they'll get to it as soon as possible.
- • No means no. We are not being coy or playing "hard to get" if we don't want anything to do with you.
