Welcome to Minx Academies, founded by Mother Lynx in the year of 1843. Nestled in the Carpathian range, this remote home of scholarly pursuit originated as a fort, destined to hold the front lines against invaders for centuries before its purchase and transformation into Minx, a finishing school of etiquette for young women. For a century and a half, Minx catered to this specialized role before developing to suit a more general and progressive approach to academics and scholarly pursuits!
With a new face, Minx began carving a name for itself in the world, becoming an influence of world renown. With people of all ages coming through the doors, Minx expanded, sharing its name with the new and locally established university. Here, too, was the founding of the world’s first program in pursuing magical knowledge, previously not known to exist.
When Minx was exposed for teaching magic, and harboring non-humans in the nearby town of Lynx the world was lit ablaze with rumors and gasps! Undoubtedly, you yourself have tuned into the news to find the anchors playing on stories of the event, and those that followed it. The world was coming to a violent realization, and Minx stepped up to the plate to bring back the peace!
Mother Lynx, who, as you may have guessed by now, was and is a member of non-human origins, and had accumulated great wealth in her many years. Using that wealth, and the connections her school had developed, she purchased a great territory for Minx before breaking ties with the world, and establishing Minx as its own country.
Minx now freely operates as both a militarized force, a safe-haven for magical kind, and a varied set of academies here to bring new innovation and discoveries into the world. Continuing to operate as a boarding school has also yielded the opportunity to provide new homes to people without.
As you can see, Minx is growing beautifully! Our economy is strong, our bellies are filled, and the diversity here has been nothing short of a blessing. Please, do enjoy your visit here, and we hope to see your name in the roster for the coming semester!

Fall From Grace- a bar and club situated just outside of Lynx, with multiple sub-basements and accommodations for non-human patrons. Provides live music and karaoke. Run by three vampiric brothers who’ve cast off the Masquerade. |

The Underground. A renovated cavern under the city, used once for a bunker and storage, transformed into a five-ringed fighting arena, with a hanging cage for aerial fights. The fighters make the rules, and step into the ring. Death matches are allowed. Healers and medics are on standby to tend to the wounded. |

The Din is a loud den/tavern built out of a cave that overlooks Lynx on the side of a cliff. Drink flows generously here, and there is a constant celebration for things big and small. The wolves that run the place are perhaps… too friendly. |

Rules
1. Please be civil. We understand that conflicts will occur, but there's no reason to throw insults or start a little mini-crusade against someone. It's unnecessary. Treat yourself, and others, better than that. You're worth it.
2. Debates are fine, but if it disrupts the room or if other users/members of staff request you take it to DM, please do so. We're not trying to staunch anyone's free speech, but this is my room, and I'd like people to be respectful of each other here.
3. OP characters are not allowed unless made canonical to the setting of Minx. If you'd like to integrate an OP character into the room, please contact Urban Witch about it for discussion.
4. If a member of staff asks that you stop what you're doing in-room, please do as asked. If you feel this is unjust, please contact Urban Witch for discussion. Screenshots of suspected misbehavior are accepted.
5. No characters under the age of 18 may engage in sexual activity or seek sexual activity through Minx Academies. Any child (under 18) profiles brought in with the intention of seeking smut will be removed. Child profiles seeking story are welcomed.
6. Smut is not explicitly banned, but it is encouraged to take to DM. It may still occur.
7. If you need someone to talk to about anything, please know you can contact Urban Witch. It doesn't have to involve the room. I am happy to be here to listen to you if you need someone to vent to. This isn't so much a rule as it is a friendly reminder that there are people who are here for you, even if they're strangers.
