Rules

1.) The room not completely smut friendly, Some Smut in the room is allowed but it cannot take over the RP or the Room, no smut profiles either, come on people, it says it is not a smut room - kissing is one thing and so is making out, but full-on sex and no story ever? I'll ban your ass.

2.) OoC Discrimination of any type will NOT be tolerated.

3.) Please keep OoC comments to a minimum during RP. Quick updates such as AFK, BRB, and Back, are acceptable. Please let people know if you need to step away for an extended period of time or if you need to leave the RP for any reason, don't just leave people hanging, say something.

4.) All characters must be an Original Character; no Canon Characters allowed. All characters must be HUMAN between the ages of 16 and 19 with NO supernatural abilities whatsoever. Read Every! Tab for all information.

5.) No completely blank profiles. You will be warned and then kicked. Your profile doesn’t have to be fancy; it doesn’t have to have a lot of information, just something in it to give people an idea of your character and your character's personality.

6.) No God-moding, Metagaming, or Cross-RPing; that means you cannot just teleport into the room, kill, maim, or rape characters without the player’s consent or any other action that makes unreasonable assumptions about someone else’s character. It also means you cannot bring strictly player knowledge or information into character without justifiable reasons, or bring OoC drama into IC.

7.) There are no post limits, but please at least put a bit of effort into your posts and try to have Some grammatical correctness. We’re not asking for much, just simple capital letters at the beginning of sentences and a period at the end-it makes it much easier to read and the RP just flows better.

8.) No OoC Drama; if you have a problem with someone in OoC then please settle it in PMs or exercise the use of the Block Button, it works wonders. Do Not bring it into the room. Do Not bring OoC Drama from other rooms with you either-leave it at the door. Character Drama, however within limits (Within Limits means No Rape Drama Especially Repeatedly!) is perfectly fine.

9.) No Lurkers allowed so long as you inform the room that's what you are doing, you can watch for a bit to see if you want to play, but please do not give running OoC commentary if you are not participating at the Moment. For those playing, if you've posted at all and have to go afk or want a break in a scene, that's fine. Lurkers are defined as those that come in and NEVER say a word in IC or OOC chat.

10.) The moderators have the final say in decisions, please listen to them. If you believe they are abusing their power, or a mistake has been made, then take a screen shot and speak to one of the owners. We trust our moderators and they have the power to kick or ban people at their discretion if they are disrupting the flow of RP or breaking any of the above rules.

11.) We reserve the right to add or change these rules as necessary.

 

Character Creation Rules

1.) ALL students must be HUMAN between the ages of 16 and 19.

2.) ALL students must be Original Characters. There will be NO canon characters allowed from ANY source. NONE, don't even ask and don't even try to pass off a thinly veiled canon as original. We WILL find out.

3.) The possible Supernatural powers that might! eventually be permitted would be Mediumship, Psychic Empathy or Vision, and perhaps real Witchcraft, you won't need them to witness the supernatural events within the RP, however.

4.) Please keep in mind that this is still a high school roleplay, so if your character is convicted of multiple homicides then they're likely in a prison facility, NOT in a regular school. Keep the crimes/offenses/trouble to a reasonable level. Seriously, people are NOT going to send their kids to any school with known, convicted murderers or rapists on the loose in the halls with them.

5.) Characters who have been enrolled for a while at the school are preferred, but not required at this point in time. Once the story has moved beyond a certain point then Brand New Students will not be allowed for story reasons.

6.) While the school is located in England, students from all over the world of any gender, nationality, etc. are permitted. This also includes sexuality, religion, and status - high schools aren't made up of Drones, it's not a Beehive.

7.) NO ONE is allowed to play any of the Staff, Ghosts, Baddies, etc. All of those are NPC's (Non-player characters). You are allowed to use them in your posts for flavor of the school. No NPC, including ghosts, will ever have sex with your character under any circumstance. NO EXCEPTIONS, not even if you're 18 or above. Just NO!

 

Setting

This is a High School roleplay, mostly based on the interactions of those in the Paranormal Investigations club and those that haphazardly get drawn into their world, so to speak. It's very much Modern and up to current date in technology and year, based in Gravesend, Gravesham Borough of Kent County, England. The high school is Graves End Grammar School; which is a Coeducational Academy for the ages of 12 - 18/19. The school colors are midnight blue, rose, lilac, and green all with gray, white, and black, for their uniforms, the symbol of the school is a lily curled around by a dragon. As Kent County is full of castles, ruins, and very close to England's most Haunted Village, it is the perfect seat for a group of students interested in and obsessed with the paranormal, supernatural, and the genuinely unknown and unexplained.

The city itself is a busy maritime township that is very old, it is large enough for a bustling nightlife as well as major brand stores, while keeping to a rich culture.

Plot

A high school club of ghost hunters is out to prove the existence of anything considered supernatural, paranormal, or even fictious. They go on investigations and get themselves into all sorts of trouble, it also will focus on the intricate relationships teenagers on the fringe of things form. Currently there are only three open investigations, starting with the Greenfield House. More will be added here as plots progress and story unfolds.

 

Investigations

These are the Paranormal Investigations club's actual files on the places they research and seek to solve the mysteries of the unknown about. Currently, there are three open files.

The Covered Bridge.

Known for mysterious and unusual disappearances over the last fifty years, among the rumors; some claim it could be aliens or an angry wraith... the concensus is that either make far more sense than any of the others - such as mermaids luring them away.

The Cult Barn.

The site of a cult that worshiped an obscure demon or deity, also known for having sacrificed fifteen people before the police located them. All members of the cult were found dead inside the barn when the raid occurred, no survivors were found.

The Haunted Manse.

New Member Carran has moved into the Greenfield House, paranormal and unusual activities are occurring, further documentation and investigation is needed.
