introduction
Based on the historical novel, "Romance of the Three Kingdoms, " Dynasty Warriors puts you right in the center of the upheaval of 3rd century China, when legendary warlords fought to expand and unite realms under their own banners. Enter a time of struggle, when warriors were as cunning as they were courageous.
The Three Kingdoms era refers to a historical period in China that lasted from 220~280 AD. It ended the Han Dynasty and separated the land into civil conflict. Out of the warring regional lords, three of them eventually gained enough power to claim themselves as the emperors of the land.
The Shu ruled by Liu Bei, he is a virtuous and benevolent man who wants to restore peace in the land. He is normally polite and modest to anyone he meets. Empathetic with the common folk, he easily gains the people's trust and support. This particular trait makes him a feared adversary to his enemy Cao Cao. Though he has earned the respect of many subjects, Liu Bei often doubts his own abilities as a ruler and warrior. He is prone to angst and doubt if there are too many deaths on either side of the field. He sometimes lacks emotional restraint as he will lose his temperament and sound judgment if his younger brothers are routed or killed.
The Wei ruled by Cao Cao is seen as a cunning yet feared man. Relentless in his desire to end the land's chaos, he will use any means to achieve his plans, even if it makes him an enemy to the other kingdoms. Fuelled by his ambition to rule the land, he believes his rule to be predestined and is undeterred when Shu or Wu call him a traitor to the Han Empire. However, he also has a fierce temper and will often scold his men's incompetence if the battle goes badly for him.Caring little about status or olden traditions, he judges men solely based on their achievements and skill. Belying his bad reputation, he treasures his retainers and will treat them with generosity. He's particularly close to Xiahou Dun, as they seem to instinctively understand one another. Many of his retainers admire his integrity and swear to never abandon him. He respects his son and is confident that Cao Pi will one day be his able successor.
The Wu ruled by Sun Jian, is a calm man, always considerate and courteous to his men. Out of the three rulers for Wu, he is the one who acts most like a gentleman. He is generally kind to those around him and forgives past mistakes with subtle ease. He doubles as a fierce and courageous warrior. Since he is praised as a tiger of his homeland, he pridefully refers to himself by his nickname on several occasions -his children also share his pride during their respective conquests. In spite of his impeccable service for the Han and his bravery in battle, other regional lords usually do not think too highly of Sun Jian and ridicule him as a "country bumpkin"; this is predominately done by Yuan Shu in most titles. A caring father, he is proud of his children and tries his best to look out for them. In more recent titles, he acts as a strong mentor figure for them and points out their respective strengths and weaknesses. He also developed a special nickname for his daughter regarding her tomboyish nature, he is also self-sacrificing for their well being. In addition to being reluctant to believe ancient superstition, he is fiercely loyal to the Han dynasty, even going so far as to call himself the "Blade of the Imperial Han". Though his enemies may harbor the most benevolent of intentions, if they are a traitor to the court, Sun Jian will not hesitate to war against them.
These three kingdoms will engage in a war with one another and vie for controll of the land. Aliances will be made and broken, there will be betrayal and friendships.
There have been rumors that far to the north a massive army is being built, most tend to dismiss these rumors as no one has been named, after all what could come from the North? Will there will be War.

The Kingdom of Wu

--------------------Original Characters--------------------
There are a few things you should know when requesting to play a custom character/original character. Your character will be inspected to make sure it fits the period as well as dynasty warriors Material, check out the rules section for more on that.
We do not want any Lu Bu clones, Lu Bu was said to be the greatest warrior of his time. We do not want some person that just shows up saying their character can Pwn Lu Bu, Guan Yu, and Xiahou Dun with one arm tied behind his back and blind folded. I know thats blowing it out of proportion but we dont want god characters. Everyone should play knowing that their character may be defeated by a stronger character and no one is immortal.
We do not want real pictures for characters...dont have much say on that other than I just cant see Johnny Depp in Dynasty warriors.
Finally...like I said before the period, we dont want any 9mm toating characters...sure its gangsta but no.

NO DRAMA - I stomp out Drama Fires like I'm Smokey the Bear. If you are a bringer of Drama you will be kicked and banned. If you start drama and the drama lingers and spreads and spreads...youw ill be dealt with accordingly.
OCs are welcome but have some information readily available about your character like...a profile. We will accept OCs but we will not accept Lu Bu Clones who can beat every general out there. A perfect example of a really good OC is Feng Yi
I understand that sometimes out minds end up going into the gutter and we want to RP somethign naughty. Not going to lie I am guilty of that myself from time to time but it will not be tolerated in the room. "Get a Room" in other words take it to PM. However there will be NO LENIANCY if a player harasses another player for naughty RP. If a player says no once, they should not have to say no a second time...sure giving the person a reason why you say no would be nice but I will not tolerate "Please, come on, etc"
R-E-S-P-E-C-T FIND OUT WHAT IT MEANS TO ME!...*ahem* Come on people we're all adults here. I want everyone to get along and not treat one another like poo.
No Trolls If you have fun making fun of people or berating them etc etc...this group is not for you and if you are in the group and doing that, you will be removed. |
